Icon of the Stay True Sounds label, South African beatsbyhand spreads his melodic know-how with his first album I am Jazz, in a sunny deep-house DJ set.
Born in Port Elizabeth and currently residing in Johannesburg, Hein Bosman started playing music in church before discovering FL Studio at the age of 18, like many curious young people of his generation. At 29, he is now part of the new generation of South African producers who are shaping a modern and radiant deep house. In 2020, he was noticed on Stay True Sounds with Are You Jazz? an EP with heady melodies that seduced the biggest DJs in Africa and Europe. Last September, he answered his own question with the album I Am Jazz, a collection of high quality deep-house nuggets with neo-soul influences and a powerful and minimalist groove. He summarizes this album in a PAM Club, dropping an unreleased edit of the classic “Township Funk” by Mujava!
